Acupuncture was a complete career change for me. I had a successful career in a mulit-national company when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. This led to my first experience of acupuncture. It relieved the negative side effects of the chemotherapy and radiotherapy I had to undergo following surgery. I then decided to study acupuncture in Ireland and, subsequently, in China so that I could help others. Over 10 years later, I am still passionate about doing this.

I have a special interest in fertility, pregnancy and women’s health in general and have completed several post-graduate courses in these areas. I have a Diploma with Distinction in TCM Gynaecology and Obstetrics – Acupuncture, awarded by Dr. Trevor Wing of The Woman’s Natural Health Practice in the UK and am a founder-member of the Zita West affiliated acupuncturist network for reproductive health, which was established in Ireland in 2009. I have also completed postgraduate training with other UK-based experts in the areas of fertility, pregnancy and obstetrics, notably, with Jani White of Nature Child, renowned midwife and acupuncturist Sarah Budd, as well as with Debra Betts, midwife, acupuncturist, international lecturer and author based in New Zealand. I am a founder-member of Acupuncture for Fertility and Pregnancy Ireland and have the honour of being on its Steering Committee. At my clinics I treat couples who are trying to conceive naturally or who are undergoing IVF or other assisted reproductive treatments, as well as women who have conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, irregular menstrual cycles or premature ovarian failure. I also enjoy treating pregnant women at my clinics who may have pregnancy-related pre-natal or post-natal conditions, such as those which are referred to on this website.

I also hold a Diploma in Tui Na massage and am currently studyng Chinese herbal medicine.
