Siobhán Seville is from Rathfarnham, Dublin. As a mother of four, she was always looking for a more natural way of treating her children as they were growing up – which was how Siobhán came across Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Having fallen in love with the theory of TCM, Siobhán graduated from the Irish College of TCM and furthered her studies at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine – continuing studies in other therapies of this medical system like Chinese Herbal Medicine, Medical Qi Gong, Tui Na Massage, Dietary Therapy and her greatest passions: Fertility and Paediatrics. This brought her to study with world leading experts in fertility, pregnancy and paediatrics such as Jani White, Jane Lyttleton, Debra Betts, Sarah Budd and Julian Scott.
Siobhán is a registered member of the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association and the Acupuncture Fertility Network. In October 2016 she was granted membership of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. In 2017 Siobhán became the first Irish acupuncturist ever to achieve full registration with the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association, the worldwide umbrella organisation for obstetrical acupuncturists.
After completing professional development certification in essential oils and the “Aroma Touch Technique” course using essential oils for a detox massage, Siobhán has now incorporated those into her clinical practice. The Acupuncture Clinic is conveniently located in Dundrum, downstairs from an IVF clinic and a few minutes away from the other IVF clinics in Dublin.
Having successfully combined different aspects and modalities of TCM, Siobhán continues to implement integration and professional development and has successfully trained and achieved certification as a Phlebotomist in Feb 2018. This will be a valuable asset for the patients who are going through the initial fertility assessment and need blood tests at short notice.
